The Relationship Between Your Wisdom Teeth & Body Organs

Years ago, if you went to a physician for suspected heart disease, the last thing they would have thought to do was refer you to a gum specialist. These days, however, things have changed, as science continues to shed light on the connection between these two seemingly disconnected regions of the body. The same goes for pregnancy, diabetes, and a number of other conditions.

In the past five years alone, interest in possible links between mouth/tooth health and body health has skyrocketed. Truth is, your oral health is far more important than you might have realized, and we are becoming increasingly aware of the connection between the body and the mouth, teeth, and gums.

What conditions could be linked to oral health? (We encourage you to look for more sources, as they are abundant.)

Endocarditis – An infection of the inner lining of your heart. This can happen when germs and bacteria from your mouth spread throughout your bloodstream and attach themselves to damaged areas of your heart.

Cardiovascular disease – As mentioned in the first paragraph, research shows that heart disease, clogged arteries, and stroke might be associated with a decline in oral health.

Diabetes – Studies have shown that gum disease is more frequent and severe among people who have diabetes. Research also shows that people who have gum disease have a harder time controlling their blood sugar levels.

HIV/AIDS – Oral problems like mucosal lesions are more common in people who have HIV/AIDS.

Alzheimer’s disease – Tooth loss before the age of 35 could be a risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease.

These are just a few of many health conditions linked with oral health.

“Physicians are taking a more holistic approach to their patients’ overall health.” – Sally Cram, DDS, PC, consumer advisor for the American Dental Association.

Meridian Dentistry
“Conditions in the mouth have a profound potential to reflect and influence the health of the whole person. Disruptions to the flow of energy through the mouth may affect remote regions of the body and disruptions elsewhere may manifest in the mouth. These relationships are a result of communication between the Acupuncture Meridians and the Teeth.” – The Center For Holistic Dentistry

This is a belief a growing number of dentists share these days, and with all the connections emerging between mouth and overall body health, it’s not hard to see why. That’s not the only reason, meridian dentistry stems from ancient Chinese culture. They, among others, believed that there is an overall energy distribution system throughout the body where “qi” or “life force energy” flows throughout the body. The individual meridians are often described as vessels that carry, hold, or transport this life force energy, as well as blood and other body fluids around the body, almost like a circulatory system.

This is exactly why we are seeing a growing number of dentists offering a holistic type of practice which utilizes these methods for treating patients. A simple Google search would suffice to show you that.

HERE are some links to scholarly articles regarding this ancient system. The general consensus seems to be that your teeth are very important, as they are connected to various organs throughout your body. Tooth health, according to this system, and to some modern day science, plays a much larger role in the maintenance of overall wellness than we previously thought. According to the meridian system, poor tooth health might equate to poor organ health and blockages of energy flow.

Wisdom Teeth
There is a lot of information out there regarding the removal of wisdom teeth, and many people are starting to question its merits, particularly when recommended as a routine precautionary measure. Many experts seem to agree that there is little evidence to support removing wisdom teeth which are not causing any pain or discomfort.

For example, a report by dentist Jay Friedman in the American Journal of Public Health reveals that 67 percent or more of preventative wisdom teeth removals are unnecessary. The article explains that most of the pain and illness surrounding wisdom teeth are not caused by the teeth themselves, but rather the symptoms which arise from their surgical removal., which some number in the many, long lasting and permanent.

The Cochrane Library released a review, led by Theodorus (Dirk) G. Mettes of the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Center in the Netherlands, which outlines how  so-called impacted wisdom teeth have the potential to cause a host of problems, including swelling or ulceration of the gums around these teeth, cysts or tumors, and damage, decay, or disease in the second molars. However, many people can go their entire lives without these teeth causing any problems.
Basically, we don’t really know enough, and remove them mostly based on the temporary discomfort and pain that they cause. But according to the meridian system, wisdom teeth play a very important role in overall body health.

Why Do These Teachings Resonate With So Many People?
There are a number of reasons, one is the fact that much of what has been written in ancient eastern philosophy, mysticism, and more, has also been expressed by various cultures throughout human history. Another factor to consider is that many of these teachings have been verified by modern day science, quantum physics being just one great example. What we perceive as our physical material world is really not physical or material at all (read more about that here) – far from it. This has been proven time and time again by multiple Nobel Prize winning physicists (among many other scientists around the world), yet it was known and described in various ancient texts long before such ‘official’ validation.

Another great example is meditation. It’s only recently that science has identified the various health benefits associated with it, yet again, various ancient texts already described them. A couple of examples could be what meditation literally does to the brain, or its effect on the gastrointestinal tract.

The examples are endless, which, along with some findings within modern day science, lend more credibility to a practice that’s rarely given a second thought today.

How To Use Your Fingers To Prevent Illness

The modern era was built by a different approach to health and to human’s body. So, we are not able to notice early signs of a certain disease anymore.

The only thing we can do is go to the doctor and wait for the results, i.e. diagnosis. However, Ayurvedic medicine nurtured a holistic approach to health and body since ancient times.

According to it, our body is a complete system that has different methods to warn us that something is wrong. Different kinds of diseases, especially severe diseases occur when we ignore all previous warnings.

Each of us has a natural ability to listen to their body and come to some conclusions. For example, we can notice the smell of sweat, urine, faeces and gases we release and we can conclude that our body is overloaded with toxins.

Every human being is able to sense and feel these natural things.

There are alternative methods of diagnosis and treatment that do not require much knowledge in order for us to start with the application. Su Jok (Su Jok – Korean: fist, foot) acupressure is such an example.

Similar to traditional Chinese acupuncture or Ayurvedic medicine, this method is based on learning about energy’s meridians, which are associated with our bodies.

How to Stop a Heart Attack in 1 Minute

Many people are unaware that a simple but powerful ingredient can prevent a heart attack in one minute.

How much do you know about cayenne pepper? Cayenne is the most popular kind of chilli pepper. Make sure that you always have some on hand- it can save a family member from a heart attack.

Cayenne pepper has been the subject of many health experts, including Dr. Richard Schulz. Doctors are amazed at the healing properties of cayenne pepper.

Over his 35-year career, American herbalist Dr Christopher never lost a patient over a heart attack; he credits cayenne pepper. He has treated patients suffering heart attacks with a cup of cayenne pepper tea;  within a minute they recover from the attack.

What makes this even more relevant is the fact that these scientists base their theories about cayenne pepper on personal experience, not studies done in controlled conditions.

How to Use Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne pepper has at least 90,000 Scoville units, according to the Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Habanero, African Bird, Thai Chi, Jamaican Hot Pepper, JalapeƱo, and Scotch Bonet are species of peppers that have the same SHU value. You can find cayenne pepper in supermarkets, oriental grocery stores or health food stores.

If you have cayenne pepper at home, give the person having a heart attack a teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a glass of water. The patient has to be conscious for this to work.

If the person is unconscious, you can use cayenne pepper extract. Put a few drops under patient’s tongue for results.

Cayenne pepper is a powerful stimulant; it increases heart rate and carries blood to all parts of the body, balancing circulation. Cayenne pepper has hemostatic effect, stops bleeding instantly, and helps in heart attack recovery.

Remember, many health experts say that they have never lost a patient thanks to this instant therapy.

Dr Schulz’s Cayenne Tincture Recipe

This tincture is the best remedy for emergency cases of heart attacks. Use only cayenne pepper, which is the most popular kind of chili pepper; it is grown in India and South America.

Chili is a bushy tropical plant, and unlike peppers, it is a perennial plant. Ground chili is twenty times stronger than regular pepper, because it contains much more capsaicin, a pepper alkaloid. The heat of chili peppers is inversely proportional to the size of the pepper, so the tiniest peppers are usually the hottest. Always go for this kind.

Ingredients

Cayenne pepper powder
1-3 fresh cayenne peppers
50% alcohol (you can use vodka)
1 litre glass bottle
Gloves
Instructions

Put on gloves for safety.
Fill a quarter of the glass bottle with cayenne pepper powder. Pour in just enough alcohol that it covers the powder.
In a blender mix the fresh peppers with enough alcohol that you get a sauce-like consistency. Add the mixture to the bottle so that  ¾ of the bottle is filled.
Fill the bottle to the top with alcohol and put the lid on. Shake the bottle several times a day.
Leave the tincture in a dark place for two weeks, then strain. Keep final tincture in a dark bottle. For a stronger tincture, let it infuse three months before straining.
Store tincture in a dry, dark place. It never spoils.
Dr. Schulz’s Dosing Recommendation

Give 5-10 drops of the tincture to the conscious patient who has suffered a heart attack or stroke. Give another 5-10 drops after 5 minutes. Repeat the treatment until the patient’s condition improves.

If the patient is unconscious, put 1-3 drops under their tongue, and begin CPR. Repeat the treatment after 5 minutes, and repeat it every 5 minutes until your patient’s condition improves.

Health Benefits

Cayenne pepper can be used in the treatment of other ailments.
It has antifungal properties; it prevents the occurrence of Phomopsis and Colletotrichum.
It is known for its beneficial effect on the digestive system, because it stimulates the production of gastric juices, and relieves gases.
Cayenne peppers have anticancer properties, and they are especially recommended to patients diagnosed with lung cancer and smokers. It is believed that capsaicin found in cayenne pepper prevents the development of tumors caused by tobacco, and similar results are noticed in patients diagnosed with liver cancer.
It is also helpful in the treatment of stomach problems, flu symptoms, migraines, allergies, redness, obesity, toothache and arthritis.
Nutritional Value

Scientists have confirmed the presence of 26 different nutrients in cayenne pepper. Calcium, zinc, selenium, and magnesium are some of the most essential minerals found in cayenne pepper. In addition to minerals, cayenne peppers are rich in Vitamins C and A.

Cayenne pepper is one of the strongest natural spices and can do miracles for the heart. If you struggle with heart problems, always have this tincture on hand.

How to possibly save and restore your eyesight with one ingredient!

How to possibly save and restore your eyesight with one ingredient!

Aren’t you tired of going to your eye doctor and spending a lot of money on trendy glasses. If you noticed, doctors prescribe you new glasses every year. You are frustrated, your eyesight theoretically should’ve got better, but it didn’t.  After all, you wear expensive glasses that should improve your vision, right? Unfortunately, your glasses can only help you see better but they won’t improve your vision. Truth be told, your vision will get worse if you don’t address the root of the problem. Saffron is one of the easiest way to improve your eyesight naturally.

Saffron Might Save Your Eyesight
Saffron can slow the progression of eye diseases like macular degeneration, which causes blindness.

Collected by hand from the deep red stamens of the saffron crocus, the saffron spice is worth up to $800 per pound depending on its quality. It is used in a variety of applications including as a food spice, a coloring agent, and a treatment for disease. Some 90 illnesses, and counting, can be treated with saffron.

Saffron is a spice that contains the antioxidant carotenoids crocin and crocetin among other ingredients, with strong antioxidative, cellular and neuro-protective properties. Crocin from saffron has antioxidant activity stronger than alpha-tocopherol, and can prevent the formation of peroxidized lipids, and can partly restore superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity.

The health benefits of saffron are shown to be due to these two carotenoids.

A recent clinical study has shown that taking oral supplementation of saffron (20 mg per day) for three months in patients with early stage age-related macular degeneration (AMD) or ARMD) induced a significant improvement of retinal function and visual acuity.

According to Professor Silvia Bisti who carried out the research in patients with age-related macular degeneration, “Patients’ vision improved after taking the saffron pill”. This has created a hope that saffron may be the natural answer to stop or delay vision loss from macular degeneration.

In the eye study, macular degeneration patients who ate a diet containing saffron began to experience cell recovery, which resulted in improved vision.

“Saffron appears to affect genes that regulate the fatty-acid content of the cell membrane, and this makes the vision cells tougher and more resilient,” said Professor Silvia Bisti, lead researcher of the study.

How much saffron is recommended? Can we get it in our diet or is supplementation necessary?

Organic Traditions Saffron, 1 Gram

For the eye health benefits, one needs to take 20 mg of high quality saffron per day. Yes one can take similar amount of saffron spice that is added to the food or prepared as a tea.

Throw Away Your Glasses! Thousands Of People Improved Their Vision With This Method!

Not using some muscles for quite a time it’s known that they will weaken.

A perfect example is a leg injury like a broken bone (fibula) and you’re supposed to relax and use the wheelchair for some time in order to let the bone heal. In meantime your muscles won’t be active and thus become weaker. This is the same with the muscles surrounding your eye lens.

If it happens that you are wearing glasses as many do and you don’t practice exercises for your eyes, your vision will slowly weaken. Your eye muscles need practices as every other muscle in your body.

During the time spent rebuilding of your vision you should take after a few guidelines:

1) Avoid hard pressure on your eyes and it is recommended to close your eyes for several minutes on every 2-3 hours.

2) Implement gymnastics for the eyes, which contains 16 exercises (follow these lines with your eyes) -pic

3) Get rid of your glasses.

4) Implement everyday massage on the specific points:

5) Apply light pressure on your eyeball with the tips of your index and middle finger. Press the eyeball lightly so you don’t feel any pain. Then press these points with your index finger twice.

6) It is necessary to look into distance while walking outside.

7) Consume carrot juice with a few drops of olive oil continuously.

8) Wash your eyes with lukewarm water.

9) Avoid PC or lap top for at least 2 hours before bedtime.

10) Put into practice the Indian exercise “Trataka” in order to establish your vision:

A directed, centered look is a type of reflection which coordinates the fixation at a specific point (small object, flame light, dark spot) for creating focus, reinforcing of the visual perception and bracing the third eye. This activity is called Trataka.

In the first period of the activity, you should concentrate on an image or some item and gaze at it for some time, keeping in mind the end goal to have your brain focused on the image with clear thoughts.

When tears will from your eyes, shut them down and give them a rest. The point of this exercise is to endure as much as you can before tears start to flow from your eyes.

How to exercise the “Plank” and lose weight

Only One Exercise without Movement Tightens Every Muscle and Helps You Get Rid of the Extra Weight!

Plank  is the name of the exercise,  considered to be the most popular and most effective exercise worldwide . It activates the muscles of the whole body.

The most important thing of doing this exercise is to just ‘’float’’ above the floor  for a few minutes relying only on your hands and feet. You should do this at least once a day and for five minutes.

It is certainly not easy to be in such position even for two minutes, but in the end you will be amazed by the results.

As previously said, this exercise activates number of muscles so you will strengthen your back muscles, reduce the cellulite from your butt, shape your legs and arms and get a flat stomach.

How to exercise the “Plank”:

It is a static exercise so it doesn’t require any movement of the body. However, be careful to keep your body properly.

Lie down on your stomach and bend your elbows  in 90 degrees . From head to heels the body should be in straight line. First, rely on your forearms and fingertips of your feet. Then put your elbows directly under your shoulders. While doing this, keep your body in a horizontal position. The abdominal muscles should be strained. Try to keep your hips as higher as possible during the whole exercise so they don’t touch the floor. Don’t relax your body during doing the exercise.

Feet. Bring your feet together. Keeping the balance that increases pressure on the abdominal muscles is hard thing to do.

Legs. They should be straight and tight, otherwise, the pressure in the right abdominal muscle, which reserves the lumbar spine, will also be reduced.

Unless your legs are straight and tightened, the pressure  in the right abdominal muscle that reserves the lumbar spine will weaken.

Buttocks.

The activation of all muscles of the lower torso is increased if your buttocks is not relaxed during the whole exercise.

Lower back.

For successful completion of this exercise your lower back should be in a flat position. It mustn’t be curved. Imagine your back attached to the wall.

Stomach.

Try to tuck your stomach under the ribs and stay in this position during the whole exercise, without holding your breath

Elbows.

Put your elbows below the shoulder joints to avoid needles burden on your shoulders. For start, 10 seconds is enough to keep your body in this position. In time, you will stay in this position as long as you can.

Different people with different stamina maintain this position from 10 seconds to 2 minutes. It is recommended to do a pause of 2 minutes and then repeat the exercise 5 times. Start slowly if you are a beginner.

It is crucial to do this exercise on a daily basis at the same time of the day.

Reiki Treatments

Reiki Treatment: Local vs. Global Effects

Reiki students often have questions about hand placements, particularly:

  • Does it matter where Reiki hands are placed for treatment?
  • Are some of the hand placements more important than others?
  • Does the order of the hand placements matter?
  • Is a full treatment necessary?

Let’s start with the big picture, and forgive me for stating the obvious: what matters most is that you actually practice. If all you do is put your hands on yourself as you fall asleep, that’s better than nothing. Mrs. Takata* often said, any Reiki practice is better than no Reiki practice.

That said, let’s look at the local vs. the global effects of Reiki treatment.

Reiki practice to the rescue

Clearly there is a local aspect to Reiki practice. Where we place our Reiki hand seems to matter most when we practice Reiki as an immediate intervention to address a problem.

A Reiki hand gravitates toward the head to waylay a threatening headache, or to the solar plexus to settle a jittery stomach. When an accident happens, Reiki hands reach immediately for the site of the injury, and revisit it often during the healing process.

Besides the local benefits, each Reiki touch also brings global, whole-system benefits. Even brief Reiki treatment encourages the entire system to move toward balance.

For example, one hand to a single placement at bedtime can be enough to stimulate the overall balancing response from within your system and ease you into sleep. In stressful situations, even moments of Reiki touch can evoke a sense of well-being that puts everything in a more workable context.

When a brief hands-on can bring such palpable results, why bother with a full treatment?

Why a full Reiki treatment?

The overall balancing effect of Reiki practice brings benefits far beyond symptom relief. Reiki healing happens through the system’s own self-healing mechanisms, and offers the potential for the deepest possible healing–healing that not only helps you feel better, but which, given adequate treatment, can resolve the underlying cause of a symptom or condition. Mrs. Takata referred to this frequently in her comment, remove the cause and you remove the effect.

Even when there is no apparent condition to remedy, there are powerful incentives to maintain a balanced system:

  • A balanced system functions better, making life more enjoyable.
  • A balanced system is resilient, responding efficiently to stress and even trauma, thereby minimizing damage to the system.
  • Maintaining systemic balance is the essence of preventive health care.

Although the systemic balancing response can be elicited no matter where we place our Reiki hands, profound healing is best supported by a consistent full treatment. We don’t just want to start this balancing response; we want to maintain it.

What Reiki results do you want?

I’m guessing you want to receive the greatest benefits from your Reiki practice as quickly as possible (yes, I am a New Yorker).

If that’s what you want — as much as possible as fast as possible — give yourself a full hands-on Reiki treatment every day. This is the only way to be sure you receive the full local and global benefits that Reiki practice offers. (Click here if you want a self-treatment protocol to follow.)

Self-treatment.

Full session.

Every day.

*Hawayo Takata and her Reiki master Chujiro Hayashi brought Reiki to Hawaii from Japan in the late 1930s.
